Job description
- candidate will be responsible for driving supplier quality performance, managing supplier-related quality issues, leading APQP/PPAP activities, and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards across the supply chain;
- lead and develop the Supplier Quality Engineering team;
- define team objectives and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including supplier complaints, 8D problem-solving effectiveness, APQP, and PPAP performance;
- manage APQP and PPAP processes for both new launches and serial production projects.
- coordinate supplier complaint management and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
- lead escalation activities with critical suppliers and drive corrective actions;
- monitor supplier performance and implement supplier development plans;
- collaborate closely with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams;
- ensure implementation and compliance with quality standards throughout the supplier network;
- plan, conduct, and support supplier audits, including VDA 6.3 assessments;
- act as the primary quality contact for assigned suppliers;
- experience in Supplier Quality Management, preferably in a leadership role;
- strong knowledge of automotive quality tools and methodologies, including:APQP,PPAP,8D,5 Why, Ishikawa, IS / IS NOT,Six Sigma;
- good understanding of automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 and VDA requirements;
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
- strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills;
- excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
