Job description
- the role combines business development, key account management, technical project management and team leadership;
- responsible for developing business opportunities with existing and new customers, winning new projects and subsequently managing their successful technical and commercial execution;
- actively develop new business opportunities and acquire new customers, contacts and orders, with a particular focus on Volkswagen Slovakia and the wider automotive sector;
- maintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers and reactivate previous customer relationships;
- identify customer needs and translate them into technically and commercially viable project opportunities;
- prepare and contribute to customer quotations, benchmarking and commercial calculations while ensuring the expected economic contribution and profitability of projects;
- manage projects from initial customer discussions and quotation through engineering, production/assembly, installation and final customer handover;
- develop project launch and implementation plans aligned with customer timing requirements and agreed budgets;
- build, coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams of approximately 3–15 people, depending on project requirements;
- lead and coordinate Project Leaders, Mechanical Designers/Engineers, Automation Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Assembly/Installation Technicians;
- ensure project milestones, deadlines, costs, quality requirements and commercial targets are achieved;
- drive technically efficient and commercially effective solutions throughout project execution. Coordinate the specification, procurement and production of required technologies, equipment and project resources;
- maintain comprehensive communication with the customer throughout the entire project lifecycle up to final handover;
- support the development of a stable, high-performing technical and project team. Monitor project economics with a strong focus on revenue, margin and profitability;
